About the WarioWare: D.I.Y. Archive
WarioWare: D.I.Y. came out for Nintendo DS in 2010 with a bright, scrapbook style website full of microgames, tutorials and weekly downloads. When the original site went offline, most of it survived in web archive captures. This archive puts those pages back together so they can be read again.
Everything you see in the main sections comes from the captured pages: the text, the artwork, the screenshots and the layout. We have not rewritten the original copy, so it still talks about new games arriving every week and a contest that ended in 2010.
What changed
The original site leaned on Flash, which no modern browser runs. The homepage carousel, the interactive tour on the game play page and the Wii connection animation now show the still images the site already used as fallbacks.
The tutorial and trailer videos were never part of the capture. Their thumbnails stay on the page as stills, and the buttons that used to open a video player have been retired. The two entry forms for the 2010 contest are closed, and the official rules are kept for reference.
Tracking scripts, share widgets and links to retired Nintendo pages were removed. A search box and a full site map were added so every page can be reached.
Where to start
If you are trying to remember how the game worked, Penny's WarioWare D.I.Y. hints and tips answer the questions players asked most often. The weekly games list shows the microgames Nintendo released through the NinSoft Store, and the big name games come from guest designers such as Mr. Sakurai, 2D BOY and Edmund McMillen.
